High curing temperature, in addition to high energy consumption, is restricted to the coating of some substrates that cannot withstand high temperatures, such as plastics and wood, which greatly affects the expansion of powder coating applications. From the perspective of further improving efficiency, powder coating that can often be cured at low temperatures can greatly shorten the curing time and improve production efficiency while maintaining the same temperature. Therefore, achieving low-temperature curing of powder coatings has become one of the development directions of the powder coating industry.

For a long time, MILESTONE has made great progress in low temperature curing of powder coating. Now the pure epoxy system sand texture effect products in low temperature curing powder coating can be cured at 130°C/15 minutes. Flat high-gloss epoxy system can be cured at 140℃/15 minutes. However, epoxy has poor yellowing resistance and weather resistance and cannot be used outdoors.

Compared with the epoxy system, the polyester/epoxy hybrid system sand grain products with better resistance to yellowing can also be used at 135°C/15 minutes, and flat high-gloss products can achieve 150°C/15 minutes curing and leveling slightly worse. The pure polyester system sand grain products can be cured at 140°C/15 minutes, and the flat highlight can be cured at 160°C/15 minutes. However, flat low-gloss products of pure polyester system are still very difficult at present.
