Comparison of properties of cellulose ether HPmc
cellulose powder and MC:
1) Hpmc cellulose powder is easily soluble in cold water, and it will be difficult to dissolve in hot water. The gelation temperature of Hpmc cellulose powder in hot water is significantly higher than that of MC. The dissolution of HPMC cellulose powder in cold water is much better than that of MC.
2) The viscosity of HPMC cellulose powder is related to its molecular weight, and the higher the molecular weight, the higher the viscosity. Temperature will also affect the viscosity of HPMC cellulose powder, as the temperature increases, the viscosity decreases. However, the effect of temperature on the viscosity of HPMC is lower than that of MC.
3) The water retention of HPMC cellulose powder depends on its added amount, viscosity, etc. In application, the water retention rate of HPMC is higher than MC at the same amount.
