Chemical properties of Acid Orange GS:

Acid Orange GS is golden orange powder in appearance.

Acid Orange GS is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is golden orange; when concentrated hydrochloric acid is added, it is orange; when concentrated sodium hydroxide solution is added, it is brown.

Acid Orange GS is easily soluble in ethanol and has a golden orange color. It is orange in concentrated sulfuric acid, but still orange after dilution.
