Application of Acid Blue 83:

Acid Blue 8 is used for dyeing wool, silk, and nylon, as well as leather and paper. It is a standard blue. The shade is pure, the vividness is good, and the dyeing performance is good. It is a commonly used bright blue variety.


Acid Blue 83 color traits:

Acid Blue 83 is red light dark blue powder. Insoluble in cold water, slightly soluble in hot water, the aqueous solution is bright red and blue, and when sodium hydroxide is added, it is purple. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and is brilliant blue. It is orange-red in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns blue after dilution.

The purpose of Acid Blue 83:

1) Used to detect protein bands after electrophoresis. It is 5-10 times more sensitive than Naphthol Blue Black B and Bromophenol (can detect 0.5μg/cm2 protein on the gel matrix).

2) The triphenylmethane dye used for protein analysis in SDS-PAGChemicalbookE can also be widely used in Bradford protein quantitative reaction.

Industrial production method:

Acid Blue 83 uses heavy metal compounds such as sodium dichromate, manganese dioxide or lead dioxide as oxidants, and oxidizes in a stoichiometric manner in the presence of complexing agents such as oxalic acid.
